Description
48V 22.5Ah Downtube E-Bike Battery – Long-Range Lithium Pack for High-Power Conversions
The 48V 22.5Ah downtube battery is built for riders who need real range alongside the torque of 1000W–1500W hub motor conversions. Built around 13 cells in series with a higher-current BMS, it sustains demanding climbs and cargo loads without dropping under the controller's draw.
The downtube format places the battery along the bicycle's down tube, using a standard mounting bracket and key lock to keep weight low and centred for balanced handling even at this higher capacity. Ideal for high-power conversions, cargo builds and long-distance touring where both torque and endurance matter.

Why the 13S configuration with a 40A BMS matters here
The 13S configuration delivers the same 48V used across mid and high-power kits, but the larger cell count in parallel allows the 40A BMS rating, giving the headroom that 1000W–1500W controllers need under sustained load on climbs or with cargo.
BMS and cell protection
The battery integrates a 40A BMS, built with quality LG/Samsung cells, which monitors voltage, temperature and current per cell in real time, preventing overcharging, deep discharge and cell imbalance. The IP65-rated casing protects against light rain and road splashes in normal use.
What Type of Conversions It's Recommended For
1000W–1500W Hub Motors
The 40A BMS comfortably sustains the current draw of higher-power controllers under continuous load.
Cargo and Heavy-Load Builds
Extra capacity and current headroom for cargo bikes and riders carrying heavier loads regularly.
Long-Distance Touring
Real-world range of 60–90 km makes this pack a strong fit for long commutes and touring routes.
Installation, Maintenance and Safety
