Description
48V 20Ah Triangle E-Bike Battery – Frame-Mounted Lithium Pack for Balanced Handling
The 48V 20Ah triangle battery mounts inside the frame triangle for a low, centred weight position and balanced handling on mid-power conversion kits. Built around 13 cells in series, it pairs naturally with 500W–1500W hub motor systems that benefit from a sportier weight distribution than a downtube pack.
The triangle design is built specifically for the bicycle frame: the slim profile and optimised shape allow direct mounting in the frame triangle, without affecting ground clearance or unbalancing the bike's geometry. Weight is distributed low and centred, which means better stability through corners and at higher speeds compared to a rack-mounted battery.

Display and Connectivity
Why the 13S configuration suits mid-power triangle builds
The 13S configuration means 13 cells connected in series, each contributing around 3.6–4.2V to the pack's total voltage. This delivers the standard 48V used by mid-power conversion kits, with the triangle's parallel cell layout supporting the 40A BMS rating needed for sustained climbs and cargo use.
BMS and cell protection
The battery integrates a 40A BMS, built with quality LG/Samsung cells, which monitors voltage, temperature and current per cell in real time, preventing overcharging, deep discharge and cell imbalance. The IP65-rated casing protects against light rain and splashes in normal use.
What Type of Conversions It's Recommended For
500W–1500W Hub Motors
The 48V voltage and 40A BMS comfortably support mid-power conversion kits across the range.
Mid-Drive Conversions
Increased pedal-assist torque, suitable for hilly routes or intensive electric MTB use.
Balanced Handling Builds
For riders who prioritise low, centred weight and a more natural bike feel over the largest possible capacity.
Installation, Maintenance and Safety
Installation Steps
- Check dimension compatibility with the space in the frame
- Secure the battery with the mounting straps
- Connect respecting polarity and connector type
- Check the LCD before first use
Maintenance
- Avoid discharging fully below 20%
- Store at 50–70% capacity for long periods
- Charge in a ventilated space, never unattended
- Avoid temperatures below 0°C or above 40°C
