The 52V system (vs 48V on all other DUOTTS models) provides higher voltage at the motor, translating into more alert acceleration response and slightly higher torque at mid-range speeds. The 27Ah battery is the largest in the entire DUOTTS range, delivering 130–140km range even at the F20’s 38kg total weight.

The F20 is designed to look like a retro motorbike: upright seating position, wide handlebars, round headlights, robust frame and 20-inch wide-section tyres — all the elements of a vintage chopper, at e-bike scale. Unlike a motorcycle, the F20 requires no licence, registration or insurance (in the 25 km/h assisted mode), can be parked at any bike stand and charges from a standard domestic socket.
52V 27Ah – the largest battery in the DUOTTS range
At 27Ah (1404Wh energy content), the F20’s battery is substantially larger than any other DUOTTS model. The 130–140km range is a direct result of this capacity, not a marketing claim. At moderate assist, the F20 can cover distances that would require two or three charges on other models — a meaningful advantage for touring or remote area riding.
Important note: the F20 charger outputs 58.8V (52V system specific) and is not compatible with the 48V chargers used by all other DUOTTS models. Always use the original charger supplied with the bike.

Does the F20 require a driving licence or registration?
In the factory-set 25 km/h mode, the F20 qualifies as an EPAC (electrically power assisted cycle) and requires no licence, registration or insurance on public roads in most EU countries. Unlocking the speed limiter to 40 km/h may change the legal classification — always verify local regulations before modifying speed settings.
What does a 52V system mean and how does it differ from 48V?
52V is the nominal voltage of the battery and motor system. Compared to 48V: higher voltage at the same nominal power (750W) means lower current draw through the wiring (less resistive loss) and a more responsive, alert motor behaviour at acceleration. In practice, the difference is most noticeable at launch and during rapid acceleration from low speed.
Does the 20-inch wheel size affect stability at higher speeds?
The 20×4.0” fat tyre compensates for the smaller wheel diameter through its width. Smaller wheels respond more quickly to steering inputs, and the F20’s low, upright riding position provides good stability for its wheel size. At 40 km/h on straight, dry tarmac, the fat tyres provide adequate stability. Reduce speed on uneven surfaces at high speeds.
Can the 27Ah battery be replaced after a few years?
Yes. The F20 battery is a detachable module. After 500–800 charge cycles (3–5 years of normal use), capacity may drop to 70–80% of original. At that point, a compatible 52V replacement battery can restore original range. Ensure any replacement is 52V compatible — 48V batteries are not interchangeable.
