1500W Rear Hub Motor E-Bike Conversion Kit MTX

The 1500W kit is the step at which a conversion becomes a serious project: up to 50 N·m of torque delivered straight into the wheel hub, speeds of up to 60 km/h and a 35A controller that holds the load without giving up on long climbs. The brushless gearless direct-drive motor has no gears and no brushes, so there is practically nothing to wear out mechanically. This is the kit for heavy cargo, long climbs and high loads, with constant torque.

The 1500W kit gives you 50 N·m of torque straight into the wheel hub, speeds of up to 60 km/h and a 35A controller that sustains the effort without losing power on long climbs.

It feels best when you carry heavy loads, pull away often under weight or climb long, steep gradients. If you do not need this much power, 500W and 1000W are the intermediate steps in the range.

Why the torque arm is mandatory at 1500W

At 1500W the motor's torque exceeds the capacity of any standard bicycle dropout, whatever the frame material – steel and aluminium alike. Unlike the smaller kits, where a torque arm is recommended or all but mandatory depending on the frame, at this power it becomes mandatory without exception, fitted on both sides of the axle.

Without one, the risk of a spun axle (the axle turning in the dropout) is no longer a matter of long-term wear but of weeks of intensive use – especially if the kit is used constantly at high load, the typical case for heavy cargo at this power. Both torque arms are included in the kit, not sold as a separate accessory, and they fit in 10–15 minutes per side.

35A controller with 18 MOSFETs

The 35A is the difference between a kit that delivers power in bursts and one that sustains it. The controller normally works with the motor's Hall sensors, and if a sensor fails it switches automatically to non-Hall mode so you are not left out on the trail. The brake levers cut power to the motor instantly at the first touch.

1500W covers heavy cargo and extended climbs under load. If you want even more torque for extreme loads or repeated starts under weight, the 2000W kit is the next step — but it also calls for a battery to match, so work out the whole budget first.
