Description

UKC1+ TFT Colour Display for Electric Bikes – 3.5" Screen 24V–72V with Remote for eBike Conversion Kits

UKC1+ TFT colour display with 3.5-inch IPS screen, UART No. 2 (OMD) protocol, 24V–72V compatible, waterproof 5-pin WP connector. Shows speed, battery level and voltage, motor power (W), PAS level, trip (TRIP) and total (ODO) distance, riding time and error codes in real time. Includes a separate remote mountable on the handlebar — a significant upgrade over the SW900 for 1000W and above systems.

TFT Colour 3.5" 24V–72V UART No. 2 5-Pin WP Remote Control Regen ABS

The UKC1+ is the next level up from the monochrome SW900 display included as standard in MTX kits — the TFT colour IPS screen offers significantly better readability in direct sunlight and displays more information simultaneously (including exact battery voltage and watt consumption). The separate remote with buttons mounts independently on the handlebar, allowing PAS level adjustment without moving your hand off the throttle.

UKC1+ vs SW900 — when the upgrade is worth it

The SW900 (included as standard in MTX kits) is sufficient for 250W–500W systems and urban use. The UKC1+ brings 3 concrete advantages for higher-power systems:

  • TFT colour IPS screen — better visibility in direct sunlight, more information simultaneously on a larger screen (3.5" vs ~2.6" SW900)
  • Exact battery voltage in volts — shows actual battery voltage (e.g. 51.2V) not just a level bar, useful for monitoring cell state
  • Configurable regenerative ABS from the display — 4 levels (0–3) accessible from the menu, without touching the controller

Separate remote — control without moving your hand

Unlike the SW900 where buttons are on the display casing, the UKC1+ comes with a small remote with +/–/M buttons that mounts separately on the handlebar — typically at the left thumb. This allows PAS level adjustment and function access without moving your hand off the throttle, especially useful at higher speeds or in traffic.

Detailed error codes

The UKC1+ displays standardised error codes: E21 (controller current error), E22 (throttle error), E25 (brake sensor error), E30 (cable communication error). Each code pinpoints exactly where the issue is, significantly reducing troubleshooting time compared to the SW900 which shows more generic errors.

Important: the UKC1+ uses UART No. 2 (OMD) protocol — the same protocol as the SW900 and all All4eBikes controllers. It replaces the SW900 directly on any MTX kit without any controller modifications. Check the connector type (5-pin WP) for physical fit.

What It's Recommended For

Upgrade from SW900

A direct replacement for the SW900 on any All4eBikes MTX conversion kit — same UART No. 2 protocol, more screen and more features.

1000W–3000W Kits

Especially recommended for high-power kits where exact voltage display, watt consumption and configurable regenerative ABS deliver real value in use.

Advanced DIY Builds

Ideal for builders who want full display control over all system parameters, from the eBike parts range.

Installation and Configuration

Installation Steps

  • Mount the display on the handlebar with the included clamp (22.2 / 25.4 / 31.8mm)
  • Mount the remote separately on the handlebar, at the left thumb position
  • Connect the 5-pin WP cable to the display port on the controller
  • Power on and set the correct voltage from the menu
  • Set wheel diameter and motor pole count for accurate speed readings
  • Configure regenerative ABS from Advanced Settings if desired

Error Codes

  • E21 — controller current error: check controller wiring
  • E22 — throttle error: check throttle cable connector
  • E25 — brake sensor error: check brake lever connector
  • E30 — communication error: check display–controller cable
  • No signal on screen — check 5V supply and wire order

Frequently Asked Questions About the UKC1+ Display

Can the UKC1+ directly replace the SW900 on All4eBikes MTX kits?
Yes — the UKC1+ and SW900 use the same UART No. 2 protocol and are compatible with the same controllers. The difference is the connector: the SW900 has a standard 5-pin SM connector, the UKC1+ has a 5-pin WP (waterproof) connector with an SM adapter included in the package. Replacement is direct with no controller or wiring modifications.
What is the motor pole count setting and how do I set it correctly?
The pole count setting determines how the display calculates speed from the motor's Hall sensor signal. The default value is 46 for brushless gearless (direct drive) hub motors of the type used in All4eBikes MTX kits. For geared motors of 250–350W set the value to 1. An incorrect setting will display the wrong speed.
How do I configure regenerative ABS from the UKC1+?
Enter Advanced Settings from the menu (hold the M button for 3–5 seconds). Find the ABS Levels option and select the desired level: 0 (off), 1 (weak), 2 (standard), 3 (strong). Level 3 is not recommended — excessively strong regenerative braking can stress the controller or motor. Start at level 1 and adjust to preference.
Is the UKC1+ compatible with 60A or 72V controllers?
Yes — the UKC1+ supports 24V to 72V and is compatible with all UART No. 2 controllers in the All4eBikes range (17A–60A). Set the correct system voltage from the menu after installation for accurate battery level display.
